Meet Our Board
Our board members’ insights and efforts are instrumental to bringing our novel cancer therapeutic to market.
Greg Bosch is a seasoned life sciences executive with more than 35 years of leadership experience across pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical devices. His career spans general management with full P&L responsibility, public and private company acquisitions and divestitures, capital raising, and a successful IPO — giving him a rare combination of operational depth and public-market experience.
Greg founded Persevere Therapeutics to advance misetionamide, a novel small-molecule oncology therapeutic. In 2026, Persevere acquired and spun-out this asset and clinical stage program which he championed since its origins within Geistlich Pharma and its Panavance business. In 2021, he had established Panavance Therapeutics as a U.S. Delaware entity under Swiss parent, serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, Panavance built out a virtual operating model spanning global manufacturing and clinical operations, cleared three FDA INDs for Phase 1 and 2 trials in pancreatic and ovarian cancers, and secured FDA Orphan Drug designation in pancreatic cancer.
Prior to Panavance, Greg served as Chief Executive Officer of Geistlich Pharma North America, where he led a fully integrated U.S. sales, marketing, and medical affairs organization to the #1 market position in regenerative medicine for periodontology and oral surgery, while also directing the company’s global oncology program — including the preclinical development of a newly patented small molecule compound. He also founded and led the Osteo Science Foundation, a 501(c)(3) supporting research and education in regenerative medicine.
Earlier, Greg served as President and CEO of PuriCore plc, a publicly traded life sciences company with businesses in the medical device, food safety and wound care fields. Greg led the company through an IPO on the London Stock Exchange, raising £30 million, and grew revenue from $10 million to $42 million while returning the company to profitability. During his tenure, he raised more than $125 million in total equity and debt financing, led a reverse merger, and completed the acquisition of multiple private companies.
Greg began his career at Baxter International, where over nearly two decades he held roles of increasing responsibility across the U.S., Austria, and Switzerland. During his Baxter tenure, he established and led the formation of Baxter’s BioSurgery business as Vice President/General Manager, growing the regenerative medicine franchise from $30 million to more than $220 million through both organic growth and acquisitions. He also served as Director of Strategic Planning for Baxter’s Biotech division, held several international sales and marketing leadership roles, sat on the board of Baxter AG in Austria, and was a member of Baxter’s senior global management team.
Greg has served on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards, including Kibow Biotech, Panavance Therapeutics, Geistlich Pharma North America, PuriCore plc, Baxter Immuno AG, and the Osteo Science Foundation. He holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University and an M.B.A. with a Finance emphasis from DePaul University.

James A. Barlow
Board Director
James A. Barlow serves on the Board of Directors of Persevere Therapeutics. He is a seasoned biotech CEO and board-level leader with over 25 years of experience in oncology-focused biopharma, spanning business development, clinical development strategy, capital formation, and commercialization. Mr. Barlow currently serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Board member of ImmunoGenesis, a venture-backed immuno-oncology company developing next-generation therapies designed to overcome resistance to immune checkpoint blockade.
Founded out of MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2019, ImmunoGenesis has been built by Mr. Barlow from its earliest stages — establishing the company’s scientific strategy, operating model, and culture. He has led the successful raise of more than $110 million in dilutive and non-dilutive capital, including institutional venture financing and competitive grants and investments from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) and the MD Anderson Cancer Focus Fund, accomplished through creative financing solutions in a challenging funding environment. Under his leadership, ImmunoGenesis has advanced multiple assets into the clinic, secured two IND approvals, and generated early clinical signals from its lead program, IMGS-001.
Beyond his operating leadership, Mr. Barlow brings a strong advisory perspective shaped by extensive experience working with boards, investors, and funding organizations to evaluate scientific opportunity, clinical risk, and capital allocation. He is well-versed in portfolio prioritization, translational strategy, and balancing scientific ambition with financial discipline — particularly for oncology programs advancing from discovery into clinical development. His approach emphasizes rigorous assessment of data, thoughtful risk management, and alignment of scientific strategy with long-term value creation for patients, stakeholders, and the broader cancer research ecosystem.
Prior to ImmunoGenesis, Mr. Barlow served as Vice President of Operations and Business Development at Geneos Therapeutics, where he played a central role in spinning the company out of Inovio Pharmaceuticals, securing Series A financing, negotiating exclusive IP licenses, and advancing the company from financing to IND in under nine months. Earlier in his career, he held senior commercial and strategic roles at Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Merck & Co., contributing to the launch and lifecycle management of multiple oncology products, including YERVOY® and OPDIVO®.
Mr. Barlow began his career in investment banking and private equity, providing a strong foundation in capital markets, financial strategy, and value creation. He holds an MBA with Honors from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, where he was a Dean’s Scholar, and a B.A. in Mathematical Economics, summa cum laude, from Colgate University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
